Terms of Service

Protocol Version: 1.0.4 | Updated: ...

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the eSportsArena platform. By entering the Arena, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the professional protocols and binding arbitration requirements outlined below.

1. Professional Agreement

Welcome to eSportsArena, a competitive platform operated by NUGSAU LIMITED ('we', 'us', 'our'). These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the platform. Accessing our whitelisted titles, participating in community events, or engaging in the transfer market signifies your explicit consent to these protocols. If you do not agree to these standards, you are prohibited from initialising any session within the Arena.

2. Age Compliance & Identity Verification

  • Standard Tier Access (13+)You must be at least 13 years old to create a professional registry and participate in standard community engagements involving Skill Score (SS) or reputation-only rewards.
  • Financial Compliance Gate (18+)Participation in any engagement involving a cash prize pool or a required entry fee is strictly restricted to users aged 18 and over. This is a non-negotiable regulatory floor enforced by international financial laws. Underage users attempting to bypass this gate face immediate and permanent suspension.
  • Stripe Identity VerificationTo ensure the integrity of our financial compliance, all high-stakes identity verification (KYC) is securely anchored via Stripe Identity. Users are strictly required to submit government-issued documentation alongside a live biometric facial scan to legally verify their age and geographic region before transacting on the platform.

3. Account Registry & Security

Your Arena account is your professional identity. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all actions taken under your identifier. Use of "Smurf" accounts to manipulate ranking tiers or bypass entry restrictions is a violation of the Fair Play Protocol and may result in the forfeiture of all earned funds.

  • Account Retirement & Data RetentionWhen you request account deletion, to preserve the mathematical integrity of historical leaderboards and tournament data, your profile enters a 'Soft Retirement' state. Your personal identifiable information is immediately scrubbed, and your profile is anonymized from active engagement. However, your Gamertag and avatar will remain permanently sealed within historical event records. Should you choose to reincarnate your career, re-authenticating with your original credentials will automatically reinstate your profile.

4. Professional Code of Conduct

The Arena enforces a zero-tolerance policy to protect the competitive landscape. Prohibited actions include:

  • Cheating, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorised third-party automation software (Scripts/Macros).
  • Targeted toxicity, hate speech, or harassment towards other competitors or Arena staff.
  • Collusion, match-fixing, or any attempt to artificially manipulate prize distributions or leaderboard standings.
  • Deceptive identity practices or impersonating verified professional players or organisations.

5. Competitive Hardware Protocol

Coordination in the Arena relies on verified Hardware Identifiers (Gamertags, PSNs, etc.). By registering for an engagement, you consent to the disclosure of these identifiers to bracketed opponents for the sole purpose of match lobby creation.

  • Discord Matrix IntegrationAutomated 'Match Nudges' and 'Meeting Requests' are transmitted through official Discord channels. Users are responsible for maintaining a linked Discord account to receive these critical professional alerts. Lack of connectivity is not an acceptable excuse for match forfeiture.

6. Dynamic Ranking Protocol (DRP)

Arena operates on a Dynamic Ranking Protocol (DRP) where tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond) are strictly percentile-based distributions rather than fixed static score thresholds. Your tier mathematically reflects your precise rank percentage relative to all other eligible players connected to the platform.

  • Dynamic Tier CompressionTo protect competitive integrity and prevent severe rank leapfrogging during the early scaling of a game's leaderboard, specific divisions (e.g., Platinum 1, Gold 3) may be dynamically compressed. If the active player pool for a specific game is under 50 members, all divisions outside of the Apex Diamond bracket will compress into standard broad Tiers (e.g., 'Platinum', 'Gold').
  • Volume-Triggered Ladder ExpansionThe moment a game's leaderboard successfully scales past 50 active ranked players, the system autonomously decompresses the ranking ladder back into 9 unique, highly granular micro-divisions (Bronze 1 through Gold 3).
  • Elite Tier Finality (500+ Players)The prestigious 'Platinum' and 'Diamond' tiers represent the absolute apex of professional competition. To maintain their exclusivity, these Elite Tiers are completely sequence-locked. Until a specific game's leaderboard surpasses 500 active professional players, the highest mathematically achievable rank is Gold 3. Once the 500-player milestone is breached, the Elite Tiers are permanently unlocked and integrated into the percentile distribution, expanding the ladder to its full 17-division scale.

7. Suspension & The Wall of Shame

  • Regulatory BansBreaches of integrity, especially regarding cheating or match-fixing, result in an immediate permanent ban. Banned users are listed publicly on the Wall of Shame, and all access to wallet functions and active engagements is revoked.
  • Community Pardon SystemBanned users may petition for a review after receiving 100 votes from unique, KYC-verified community members. A pardon is an extraordinary measure and does not guarantee the reinstatement of account balances or previous rankings.

8. Financial Management & Escrow

  • Escrow SecurityAll entry fees and creator contributions are held in secure escrow by eSportsArena. Once an event bracket has been initialised, all fees become non-refundable.
  • Whitelisted Mode Protocol (Skill-Based Gaming)To ensure compliance with international skill-based gaming regulations, the collection of Entry Fees is strictly restricted to 'Whitelisted Game Modes'. These are official, platform-audited game variants that have been evaluated to guarantee outcomes are determined predominantly by player skill rather than chance. Attempting to charge an entry fee on unverified 'Custom' modes is strictly prohibited to prevent fraud and unregulated gambling.
  • Withdrawal ProtocolsPayouts are securely processed to verified PayPal accounts or directly via Bank Transfer to fiat-registered checking accounts. We apply a standard, non-negotiable 5% platform fee to all withdrawals regardless of the liquidation method chosen to actively maintain the Arena's core server infrastructure. PayPal liquidations typically undergo a 24-72 hour administrative review period, whereas manual Direct Bank Transfer processing may take up to 5 complete business days. All users must organically clear Stripe Identity Verification before initializing any payout transaction.

9. The Transfer Market & Team Contracts

Organisations on the Arena operate as sovereign financial entities capable of acquiring talent via legally binding digital contracts facilitated by the Global Transfer Market.

  • Contractual Obligations & ExclusivityWhen a player physically signs an agreement generated by a Team Owner, they natively bind their account to that specific Roster architecture (Game + Game Mode + Platform) for a designated 'Contract Term'. If mathematical 'Exclusivity' is verified, the player is systematically prevented from legally competing for external rival organisations in that exact structural category until the expiry date is met.
  • Market Listings & BuyoutsPlayers functioning as Free Agents may voluntarily push their profile onto the Global Transfer Market, defining exact required Sign-on Fees natively. Conversely, Team Owners hold complete administrative authorization to mechanically list internally contracted players globally. Competing organisations may inherently intercept and acquire these locked rosters by explicitly triggering the mathematical USD 'Transfer Fee' defined structurally in the active source contract, seamlessly relocating the player's rights automatically.

10. Technical Finality & Disclaimers

  • The Player Consensus Protocol (Frictionless Autonomy)The Arena utilises an autonomous 'Consensus Protocol' for standard match reporting. A fixture is considered 'Finalised' when both competing parties submit precisely matching scores. Reaching honest consensus immediately injects +1 Positive Reputation Point into both players' profiles. In the event of an AFK (Away From Keyboard) opponent, you are expected to utilize the integrated 'Discord Nudge' protocol before requesting rapid staff intervention.
  • Dispute Engine & Photographic EvidenceIf a conflicting score is detected, the fixture enters a 'Disputed' state. Opposing players are then strictly required to upload digital photographic evidence (a screenshot) validating their claim to submit an updated contestation. Deliberately submitting a false score or fake evidence to steal a victory is a critical violation of the Code of Conduct. The Organiser will review the evidence, and the verified liar will instantaneously be penalized with 50 Negative Reputation Points, dropping their structural trust percentage to 0% and effectively blacklisting them from future elite engagements.
  • Administrative FinalityIn the event of a disputed fixture, technical failure, or conflicting match report, an Arena Organiser or Global Admin has the absolute authority to manually step in, override the consensus requirement, and force-finalise the match based on provided evidence. These rulings are unquestionable, final, and binding within the platform.
  • Service AvailabilityThe Arena is provided 'As-Is'. We are not liable for match outcomes affected by user-side connectivity issues, game server instability, or platform downtime. We recommend all professional sessions are recorded for evidence in the event of a dispute.
  • Fixture Scheduling & Local Time SynchronizationThe platform allows users to propose an estimated time for their fixtures to assist organisers and viewers. All times displayed on the platform are inherently synchronized to your device's local clock. IMPORTANT: If you are using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or have manually altered your system clock, the platform may display an incorrect time. You are solely responsible for ensuring your system time is accurate to avoid missing scheduled matches.

11. Administration & Support Ticketing

The Arena features a fully integrated support ticketing service specifically designed to rapidly structure and efficiently sort out match disputes and community problems. By centralising all evidence and user reports into one extremely fast dashboard, our active Moderation Staff can intercept, investigate, and resolve issues with maximum speed. The system intentionally does not execute autonomous punishments, ensuring every rapid resolution is handled securely and accurately by human oversight.

  • Manual Reputation & Disciplinary ExecutionBecause malicious reporting and false evidence require subjective investigation, all major disciplinary actions must be explicitly executed by an authorized Administrator. Upon reviewing a disputed match screenshot through the internal Support Ticket engine, the presiding Admin will manually trigger a 50 Negative Reputation deficit directly against the fabricating user via the central admin dashboard.
  • Organiser Final Authority & RespectAll final decisions regarding match outcomes, dispute resolutions, and disciplinary penalties are made strictly at the absolute discretion of the Event Organisers and their assigned Event Staff. Their rulings on the platform are final and non-negotiable. Utmost respect must be adhered to at all times when communicating with Organisers, Moderators, and Helpers. Disrespectful conduct, harassment, or retaliation towards staff following a ruling will result in immediate disqualification and severe platform-wide reputation penalties.

12. Intellectual Property

All platform assets, including code, branding, and the Skill Score algorithm, are the exclusive property of NUGSAU LIMITED. Users retain ownership of their uploaded organisation logos but grant the Arena a non-exclusive license to display these assets across leaderboards, broadcasts, and match history records.

13. Data API & B2B Gateway Integration

Access to the eSportsArena REST API ('Gateway') is strictly provisioned for verified Emerald Tier partners. The Gateway provides structurally cached live match data, including mathematically generated Elo-based standard European Decimal Odds.

  • Fair Usage & Rate LimitingThe API is globally load-balanced and strictly enforces a technical bandwidth limit of 600 requests per minute (RPM). Exceeding this limit will trigger automated 429 Gateway Rejections. Continued aggressive denial-of-service (DoS) patterns against the API will result in permanent structural blacklisting of the offending IP range without refund of subscription.
  • Edge Cache ArchitectureTo ensure absolute uptime and lightning-fast request resolution during peak tournament loads, all Data API JSON payloads are statically cached for 60 seconds across our global Edge CDN network. You acknowledge that all probabilistic data fetched holds a maximum latency interval of 60 seconds from the root database.

14. Algorithm & Skill Score Execution

The Arena determines professional ranking using a dynamic, highly granular derivation of the Elo Rating System. Your Skill Score determines your global standing, eligibility for professional engagements, and B2B streaming API odds generation.

  • Algorithmic Foundation (Dynamic Elo)The ecosystem utilizes an algorithmic K-Factor baseline of 32. This means match variants naturally swing by a maximum of approximately ~32 rating points dynamically scaling completely against your designated 'Expected Win Probability'. Defeating higher-ranked opponents yields massive progression leaps, while defeating weaker opponents yields negligible absolute gains.
  • Multi-Dimensional Skill IsolationTo protect competitive purity, your Skill Score is not a single generic monolithic metric. The Arena completely legally isolates your performance metrics mathematically into three explicit structural constraints: Game -> Game Mode -> Hardware Platform. Your capability on a PC Keyboard does not influence your global rankings on a Console Controller, protecting isolated matchmaking parameters indefinitely. Altering hardware inputs mid-tournament to exploit an unranked or lesser-ranked platform trajectory is considered rank-manipulation and may void prize dispersion.
  • Tactical Manager Rating (MS)For Team-based engagements operating under registered 'Head Coaches', the matchmaking engine actively pits the opposing managers against each other mathematically. The algorithm calculates an 'Expected Win Probability' by strictly comparing the Manager Elo of Manager A versus the Manager Elo of Manager B. When the match concludes, the resulting rating adjustments bypass personal playing stats and are injected directly into a specialized 'Manager Score' metric tracked explicitly down to the active Game Mode (e.g. Call of Duty -> Search & Destroy).
  • Deterministic Tie-Breaker ResolutionIn the event that two or more entities perfectly match in Skill Score (Elo), the platform eliminates arbitrary fetching patterns and completely relies on a strict, sequential deterministic tie-breaker algorithm. The engine dynamically cascades through the following conditions until a clear ranking is established: 1. Native Reputation Ratio (Percentage of Positive feedback vs Total feedback); 2. Absolute Reputation Volume (Highest amount of total verifiable feedbacks); 3. Lifetime Native Match Wins; 4. Final Alphabetical and Lexicographical Sorting mapped to official identifiers.

15. Event Rating & Quality Auditing

To ensure absolute operational transparency, the Arena inherently tracks the quality of independent Event Organisers structurally through a Peer-to-Peer feedback framework.

  • The Event Quality MetricFollowing the conclusion of an event, participants execute a feedback matrix evaluating the Organiser's communication, operational structure, and overall execution. The backend explicitly aggregates all historical evaluations into a primary, permanent 'Event Quality' mathematical mean representing the Organiser's global reliability.
  • Quality Control CompensationThe system autonomously rewards participating users to incentivize strict quality auditing. Submitting verified feedback against an Organiser strictly pays out +5 Positive Reputation points to the rater's personal ledger natively.

16. Reputation Economy & Trust Metrics

Platform viability is strictly governed by an underlying mathematical Reputation framework. Users acquire Positive Reputation systematically through verifiable acts of engagement, tournament completions, and objective sportsmanship.

  • Positive Accumulation MetricsThe backend directly pays out specific positive reputation variables to incentivize good behaviour. You can autonomously earn +10 for legally completing a tournament structure without fault, +15 for successfully concluding an event as an Organiser, +1 for reaching Frictionless Score Consensus with an opponent post-match, and +1 for submitting verified community votes (MVP/Good Sport) across specific integrations.
  • Administrative PenaltiesTo eradicate malice, authorized Moderators evaluating concrete ticket evidence utilize one-click tools to execute an immediate -50 Negative Reputation deficit against offending users permanently damaging their ecosystem trust matrix. Accumulated Negative Reputation affects tournament whitelisting.
