Terms of Service
Last updated: ...
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the eSportsArena platform. By entering the Arena, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the protocols outlined below.
1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to eSportsArena, a platform operated by NUGSAU LIMITED ('we', 'us', 'our'). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an open and transparent manner. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our platform.
2. Age Requirements & Verification
- General Access:You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the eSportsArena platform.
- Cash Prize Events:All registered users, including those under 18 (with guardian consent), may participate in cash-prize events and earn winnings. Winnings are credited to the user's platform wallet immediately upon event conclusion.
- Financial Withdrawals (KYC):To enable the withdrawal of funds from the platform wallet to an external PayPal account, users must be at least 18 years old and complete our mandatory Know Your Customer (KYC) identity verification process.
- Community Governance (KYC):To ensure the integrity of the pardon system, only KYC-verified community members are eligible to participate in unban (pardon) voting.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated.
4. User Conduct and Fair Play
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Using the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
- Cheating, using unauthorised third-party software, exploiting bugs, or any form of match-fixing.
- Harassing, threatening, defrauding, or causing distress to other users.
- Posting any content that is abusive, defamatory, obscene, or racially, sexually, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempting to interfere with or compromise the system integrity, security, or performance of the platform.
5. Professional Coordination Protocol
eSportsArena does not provide native peer-to-peer private messaging. To maintain a focused competitive environment, all coordination occurs via verified Hardware Identifiers (Gamertags, PSNs, etc.) and linked Discord identities.
- External Disclosure:By registering for an event, you consent to the disclosure of your platform username to your bracketed opponents solely for the purpose of lobby creation and coordination.
- Discord Integration:Automated 'Match Nudges' and 'Meeting Requests' are transmitted through official Discord channels. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure their Discord identity is correctly linked to receive these professional alerts.
6. Account Suspension and Banning
- Consequences:Violation of these rules, particularly regarding cheating, will result in an immediate ban. Banned users will lose access to all platform features, including event registration and wallet functions (deposits/withdrawals).
- Public Record:Banned users will be listed on the public 'Wall of Shame' to ensure community transparency.
- Pardon System:A banned user may be considered for a pardon after receiving 100 votes from unique, KYC-verified community members. Reaching this threshold does not guarantee an unban; it only qualifies the account for a final review by an administrator.
7. Skill-Based Events and Rules
To ensure fairness and compliance with skill-gaming regulations, all events, particularly those with cash prizes, are subject to strict rules:
- Approved Games:Events may only be created for games on our official whitelist, which have been vetted to ensure they are predominantly skill-based.
- Locked Parameters:For cash prize events, specific in-game settings, maps, and modes are mandated by the platform to minimise the element of chance. Event organisers and participants are not permitted to alter these settings.
- Demonstration of Skill:The format of all tournaments and matches is designed to ensure that the outcome is determined by the participants' skill, not by luck.
8. Jurisdiction & Regional Participation
eSportsArena uses a regional structure to ensure low-latency competition and professional local oversight.
- Regional Restriction:Events restricted to specific regions are only accessible to players who have that region selected on their primary profile. Profile regions may only be changed once every 30 days.
- Global Tier Events:Events designated as 'Global' permit participation from any user, regardless of their profile's regional setting. Performance in Global events continues to update the user's primary global and regional Skill Scores.
9. Skill Score & Trust Rating
Our platform uses a Skill Score to rank players based on their performance in competitive matches, which is adjusted using an Elo-based system. We also use a Trust Rating to reflect a player's sportsmanship and reliability.
- Award-Based Bonuses:Users voted as Most Valuable Player (MVP), Standout Performer (SP), or Tactical Manager by the community will receive a permanent **+50 Skill Score** (or Manager Score) bonus for the specific game played.
- Reputation Bonuses:Exemplary conduct is rewarded with significant Trust Rating increases. Winning a **Good Sport Award** provides a **+50 Reputation** bonus, while **MVP/SP** and **Manager** awards provide a **+10 Reputation** bonus.
10. Financial Transactions
- Currency:All financial transactions on the platform, including prize pools, entry fees, and wallet balances, are conducted exclusively in United States Dollars (USD).
- Event Prize Pools:When you create an event with a cash prize pool, the specified amount will be immediately deducted from your wallet and held in escrow.
- Charity Events:For events designated for charity, all entry fees and donations collected will be held by the platform and paid out post-finalisation.
11. Teams and Professional Contracts
Users may create or join teams to compete in team-based events. The platform facilitates professional contracts between Owners and Players.
- Contractual Integrity:By accepting an 'Exclusive Contract', a player agrees to be locked to that organisation for the duration of the term.
- Mutual Exclusion Policy:To maintain high-fidelity competitive integrity, users are strictly prohibited from being both a Player and a Manager on the same roster.
12. Result Reporting & Administrative Finality
Our platform relies on a verified reporting protocol to ensure accurate rankings.
- Automated Consensus:For solo matches, both players must submit matching scores. For team-based matches, the responsibility lies with the **Team Owner** or designated **Manager**. Automated finalisation only occurs upon consensus.
- Dispute Resolution:If submitted scores conflict, the match is marked as 'Disputed'. In these cases, the Event Organiser or a Global Admin has the sole authority to review evidence and finalise the result.
- Organiser Responsibility:For high-capacity events such as Races or Battle Royales, the Event Organiser or Admin is responsible for the manual entry and finalisation of all session results.
